This figure shows six arrows for use on guide signs.

A note states: "The 'Standard Highway Signs and Markings' book contains the details of these arrow designs."

The heading "Directional Arrows" is shown above the first five arrows.

Type A is shown as an upward-pointing vertical black arrow.

Type A Extended is shown as an upward-pointing vertical black arrow with a longer shaft.

Type B is shown as an upward-pointing vertical black arrow with a shorter shaft.

Type C is shown as a right-angle black arrow pointing up and to the right.

Type D is shown as a shorter and narrower version of Type B.

The sixth arrow is shown as a downward-pointing vertical black arrow with a short shaft. It is labeled "Down Arrow."
