YELLOW MARKINGS

YELLOW is the color for all centerlines because centerlines separate lanes traveling in opposing directions. Edgelines along the left edge of a one-way roadway or one-way ramp are always YELLOW. Cross-hatching markings in medians or safety zones separating opposing traffic flows or in left shoulders are always YELLOW. [MUTCD Section 3A.04]
